Unique basketball game venue to benefit military veterans
The stage is set…or more appropriately, the flight deck, for the 2012 Carrier Classic aboard the USS Yorktown that will feature a double-header pitting the women’s teams of Ohio State University and the University of Notre Dame, and the men’s teams of Marquette University and Ohio State University.
This year’s beneficiaries are the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Museum, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Last year’s game aboard the USS Carl Vinson netted nearly half a million dollars.
