Lockitron is a new Wi-Fi interactive product that installs over your current deadbolt lock and allows you to lock and unlock your door via your smartphone.
The product designers say Lockitron can operate with any Internet enabled smartphone, and for a small monthly fee, owners can enable a text-message access service that turns any mobile phone into a virtual key.
The Lockitron Android app features NFC capabilities that allow users to unlock or lock their door just by swiping it in front of a Lockitron NFC tag.
